Improving Administration to Meet New Requirements and Tasks

The An Giang Center for Environment and Resource Monitoring and Technique is a public non-business unit under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. The center provides reliable monitoring and engineering consulting services in the fields of natural resources and environment.

The center adapts its activities to the overall social development. It utilizes information technology, software and social networks to manage, monitor, direct and supervise its work and to report on its daily, weekly, and monthly progress. It also addresses the working difficulties of its employees promptly. It forms professional working groups for different tasks to conduct better research and improve expertise, resulting in better products with faster delivery. The center completes the projects assigned by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and investors on time, such as the provincial environment monitoring and landslide warning project, the land-use planning project, and land measurement and land-use right certification project. The center also delivers timely advisory documents on natural resources and the environment for organizations, individuals and enterprises.

To meet new development requirements, the center continues to enhance its organizational capacity and streamline its apparatus. It invests in upgrading its machinery, equipment and facilities to meet increasing demands; develops new services in accordance with regulatory and social needs in natural resources and environment fields; expands its network and cooperation with competent organizations and individuals to perform tasks that are beyond its expertise; and accelerates the application of information technology to increase its efficiency and performance.

In addition, the center pursues other key objectives: Implementing the financial autonomy project effectively; executing the machine self-financing project in 2021 - 2026 as approved by competent authorities; reviewing, arranging and consolidating its organizational structure, training and fostering young talented officers and employees to enhance their professional skills and expertise. The agency also invests in modern working facilities, machinery and equipment to boost its capacity and competitiveness. The center performs regular and extraordinary tasks assigned by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment promptly to better manage natural resources and protect the environment in the province. The center improves the quality of its consulting activities and services on natural resources and environment for agencies, organizations, individuals and businesses. It extends its consulting and service activities to Mekong Delta and southern provinces to ensure adequate jobs and increased incomes for employees and create stable income sources for the coming years. Furthermore, the An Giang Center for Environment and Resource Monitoring and Technique enhances IT application and digital transformation to improve labor productivity, reduce costs and facilitate smooth and timely activities.
