Bright Spot in Model Rural Development

With the united effort and consensus of the entire political system, Ha Mo commune in Dan Phuong district has been recognized for meeting new rural development standards in 2023.

The appearance of Ha Mo commune is steadily improving

Determining that new rural development is a regular and crosscutting task, immediately after being recognized to meet new rural development standards by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2020, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ha Mo commune, Dan Phuong district continued to concretize guiding documents of all levels with resolutions and plans to build a model new rural area in terms of health, education and training, and tourism.

At the same time, the commune continued to direct the consistent implementation of all criteria, apply and integrate programs, projects, campaigns and mass movements in rural areas, mainly by relying on the internal strength of the community and encouraging economic sectors to take part in.

Coming to Ha Mo these days, you will clearly see the facelift of houses, gates, gardens, roads and alleys. In every corner of the village, the hamlet and the residential area, residents are excited with many cultural, artistic and sports activities.

Remarking on new rural development in the commune, Chairman of the Ha Mo People's Committee Bui Tat Them said, to achieve the above results, since the beginning of 2016, the Party and the local government have launched the “All people join hands to build advanced new rural areas” emulation movement and focused on promoting internal resources, boosting information and communication to mobilize diverse resources, especially the support and contributions of all classes of people for new rural development goals.

The Ha Mo Steering Committee for Construction of Advanced New Rural Areas has seriously grasped and consistently implemented directive documents of Hanoi City and Dan Phuong district. The committee assigns specific responsibilities to personnel; clearly defines, regularly checks, supervises and urges tasks; and promptly handles emerging issues and difficulties at the grassroots level during the implementation process.

Ha Mo Clinic, covering a total area of 1,100 square meters and having 21 rooms, provides a wide range of medical services according to the regulations of the National Criteria for Commune Health. The clinic has effectively prevented and controlled diseases, provided routine medical examination and treatment services and carried out national health programs.

Ha Mo Communal House -  a cultural tourist destination

On education and training, the commune has three schools: Kindergarten, primary school, and secondary school, all of which meet national standards. Two primary schools and secondary schools meet Level 2 national standards. Regarding tourism, Ha Mo has a long history and culture. As early as the 6th century (more than 1,400 years ago), Ha Mo entered the history of the nation as the capital of Van Xuan State under the reign of Emperor Ly Phat Tu.

Ha Mo commune currently has two communal houses, two temples, two pagodas and three shrines. Van Xuan Communal House, Ham Rong Temple, Chinh Khi Temple which worships God Bat Lang and historical figures in connection with O Dien Citadel such as Emperor Ly Phat Tu. With historical and cultural values and the beauty of the traditional countryside, Ha Mo has become a tourist destination, recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee. In 2023 alone, the commune welcomed about 140,000 visitors.

Moreover, with digital transformation and smart countryside construction tasks, the commune has promoted investment in telecom infrastructure, and encouraged information technology application to management and operation to serve economic and social life. Up to now, in addition to applying information technology to management and operation, handling administrative procedures and collecting public opinions on the level of satisfaction with advanced and model new rural development, the commune has promoted the image and value of local spiritual tourism sites on social networking sites. At the same time, free Wi-Fi systems are installed in agencies and public places like the single-window division, clinic, cultural post office and spiritual tourism sites to meet internet access and information demands of local people.

Mr. Tran Duc Hai, Secretary of the Dan Phuong Party Committee, said the district has so far maintained its position as a leading district in Hanoi City in building advanced and model new rural areas. Besides, the district leads the city in the school construction movement, with nearly 100% of schools meeting the standards, 65% of which satisfy Level 2 national standards. Ha Mo commune fulfilled model new rural standards in three aspects, including tourism (very few communes in the city have achieved it). This is a proud result.

He acknowledged and commended Ha Mo for its achievement in new rural development, believing that, with solidarity and creativity, the Party, government and people of Ha Mo commune will continue to accomplish many achievements, build prosperous and beautiful Dan Phuong, and make important contributions to district development.
