The Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Authority has stepped up communication, dissemination and education of laws to employees and employers in industrial parks; strengthened administrative reform; and simplified administrative procedures concerning labor management, thus creating a favorable business environment for investors in Vinh Phuc and ensuring the rights and obligations of employees and employers.
Mr. Vu Kim Thanh, Deputy Director of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Authority, said that as many as 406 valid investment projects were located in Vinh Phuc province-based industrial parks as of October 15, 2021, including 77 DDI projects with a total investment fund of VND20,342.44 billion (US$900 million) and 329 FDI projects with US$5,379.93 million. Tenants in industrial parks are generating more than 100,000 jobs. Therefore, labor authorities have found it hard to ensure a harmonious, stable and growing relationship between employers and employees. Exercising labor administration in industrial parks, Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Authority has coordinated with relevant bodies and localities to strengthen law communication, dissemination and education for employers and employees to uphold respect of the law.
The Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Authority held six conferences to inform, disseminate and educate laws for employers and employees in industrial parks from October 26, 2021 to October 28, 2021, focusing on the Labor Code 2019, informing support policies for employees and employers affected by the pandemic, including the Labor Code 2019, the Law on Social Security, the Law on Occupational Safety and Health, Decree 152/2020/ND-CP dated December 30, 2020 on foreign workers in Vietnam, Resolution 105/NQ-CP of the Government on support for companies, cooperatives and business households in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These events attracted about 300 tenants in industrial parks (a conference was designed for 50 delegates to ensure distancing to prevent COVID-19 pandemic contagion). Speakers exchanged and answered questions concerning the Labor Code as well as entry, pandemic prevention and support for workers and employers raised by companies in industrial parks.
In the coming time, in order to further improve labor administration, ensure legitimate rights and interests of employees and employers in industrial parks, the board will focus on making good plans and forecasts on short-term and long-term demand for human resources in industrial parks. It will encourage tenants to build a harmonious, stable and progressive labor relationship; inform and guide them to implement policies and laws; and regularly reform labor management to make them feel secure in business.
