Vinh Phuc province plans to build 23-25 industrial parks with a total area of 7,000 ha in the 2021-2023 period, said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuong, Director of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks’ Authority. This is an important development step for Vinh Phuc to form regional industrial centers and attract large corporations to locate their investment projects in the province.
To achieve this goal, Vinh Phuc needs to address many existing problems, he said, adding that focus will be placed on promoting infrastructure construction of industrial zones.
By 2021, Vinh Phuc has 14 industrial parks with rentable industrial land area of 2,041.07 ha. Eight are operational, including Khai Quang (216.24 ha), Binh Xuyen (286.98 ha), Kim Hoa (50 ha), Ba Thien (325.75 ha), Binh Xuyen II - Phase 1 (42.21 ha), Ba Thien II (308.83 ha), Tam Duong II - Section A (135.17 ha) and Thang Long Vinh Phuc (213 ha).
Among six new industrial parks approved for establishment by the Prime Minister in the first quarter of 2021, Song Lo II, Tam Duong I - Section 2, Song Lo I, Nam Binh Xuyen and Thai Hoa - Lien Son - Lien Hoa (Section 2 - Phase 1) are carrying out procedures for land compensation and site clearance, and investors in Ba Thien Industrial Park - Section 1 are building infrastructure.
