Wholly Japanese-invested Daiwa Plastics Thang Long Co., Ltd, established and put into operation in 2019 in Thang Long Industrial Park, Vinh Phuc province, manufactures plastic components for automobile and motorbike manufacturing industries. Persistently carrying out the so-called "dual goal" of ensuring business operations and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic, the company not only builds and maintains a “green business zone” but also creates good jobs and stable income for nearly 400 employees, who are paid an average salary of VND7 - 7.5 million each a month.

To build a brand in the market and to meet the increasing demand of customers, the company has invested in building a synchronous modern infrastructure; assembled advanced technological equipment and machinery, automated in most stages; installed automatic fire prevention and fighting systems; and equipped workers with masks and personal protective equipment. Currently, Daiwa Plastics Thang Long’s factories in Thang Long Vinh Phuc Industrial Park are working efficiently and stably, supplying flexible plastic components for many major manufacturers such as Honda Vietnam, Yamaha Vietnam, Canon, Inax, Toto, Panasonic and Vinfast. A company representative said, with outstanding advantages such as synchronous modern industrial park infrastructure, quick administrative procedures, and open policies, Daiwa Plastics Thang Long is serving many large-scale well-reputed automobile and motorbike manufacturers.

The COVID-19 pandemic has exerted a considerable impact on the company's operations since the beginning of the year, with revenue shrinking by 40% in some months due to rising input prices, falling orders, contracting markets, growing transport costs, COVID-19 tests, and employee subsidies. Striving to realize the “dual goal” and maintain the "green business zone", Daiwa Plastics Thang Long regularly informs and raises awareness of employees in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic; strictly applies regulations on pandemic prevention and control as recommended by the Ministry of Health and Vinh Phuc province; flexibly adopts three-shift working mechanism, works out appropriate response plans to safely adapt to all pandemic scenarios. Currently, all employees are vaccinated against COVID-19.

To stabilize and develop sustainable operations in the coming time, Daiwa Plastics Thang Long will invest more in modern and synchronous machinery and equipment for higher product quality and diversity. At the same time, I hope that Vinh Phuc province's government will continue to have business support policies like electricity and water bill reduction and tax payment rescheduling to help local enterprises to have more money for restoring and stabilizing operations amid complicated pandemic development.
