Recently, The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City (JCCH) held a Clean-up event at Thao Cam Vien Saigon, aimed at raising environmental awareness and strengthening the bond between Vietnam and Japan. The event attracted approximately 150 people from 24 member companies of the association.

Despite the hot weather of summer day on weekend and participating in cleaning from early morning, the Clean-Up event that still took place with the fun and joy of participants worked together to collect and properly dispose of waste. This collective effort not only helped clean the area but also sent a powerful message about the importance of environmental protection.

"We are thrilled to see the enthusiastic participation of our members in this Clean-Up event. By working together to keep Thao Cam Vien Saigon clean, we aim to promote a greater sense of environmental responsibility and further strengthen the ties between the Japanese and Vietnamese people”, said JCCH Chairman Nozaki Takao.

The JCCH plans to expand these activities in the future, recognizing the need for ongoing efforts to maintain a sustainable environment. The JCCH believes that by engaging its members and the wider community in such initiatives, they can make a meaningful impact on the sustainable development of the city.

"I’m glad to know that the registration and official participants for Clean-Up in Thao Cam Vien Saigon are higher than expected; this partly presents the community’s interest in protecting environment. We will take this year as a premise to expand and welcome more companies to join next year," said Usui Katsuhiko, Head of Social Contribution Committee of JCCH.

The Clean-Up event was a resounding success, with participants expressing pride and a sense of accomplishment in contributing to a more sustainable Ho Chi Minh City. The JCCH remains dedicated to organizing similar events in the future, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and strengthening the bonds between Vietnam and Japan.
