On August 15, the Agricultural Products and Regional Specialties Fair - Na Lang Son and the week of consulting, introducing and promoting the consumption of products: OCOP, craft villages, safe agricultural products and food in 2024 were opened at the Economic and Trade Fair and Exhibition Area, Hanoi.

The week was organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office in coordination with the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lang Son from August 15-18 at the Economic and Trade Fair and Exhibition Area (No. 489, Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Hanoi).
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) said that the program was organized with the goal of supporting localities, enterprises, cooperatives, and agricultural production establishments to develop business and expand markets.

At the same time, the program targets the domestic market with the motto "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and "Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese consumers"; promoting and advertising brands, honoring clean and safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products and creating a bridge between cooperatives, enterprises and consumers, between production and consumption. The market has a variety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products produced in the direction of organic, ecological agriculture, products applying high technology in production and processing; traditional craft village products, OCOP products that have been ranked 3 to 5 stars according to the OCOP program and many famous agricultural products and specialties such as: Thai Nguyen tea; Linh Son guava; Ly Son onion and garlic; Phung Gia mushrooms; vegetables, fruits, dried fruits, etc.
Holding in parallel with the market is a week of consulting, introducing and promoting the consumption of products: OCOP, craft villages, safe agricultural products and food of Hanoi city in 2024 organized by the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office. With a scale of about 50 booths, the Week displays, introduces and sells agricultural products, OCOP products, typical craft village products of Hanoi and neighboring localities.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chi, Deputy Head of the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office, said that implementing the One Commune One Product program, with the advantages and potential of Hanoi, the OCOP program has been deployed since 2019. The city has 2,756 products, including 6 5-star products, 12 potential 5-star products, 1,491 4-star products and 1,247 3-star products. In 2024, the City will continue to evaluate and classify nearly 500 products to support OCOP entities to develop, improve the value and quality of products to meet the increasing demands of consumers in the capital, domestically and towards export.
This event is an opportunity for OCOP entities; safe agricultural products and regional specialties to gather in the capital so that entities from all over the country can exchange, connect trade, promote brands, and promote trade. At the same time, connect products to distribution systems to continuously improve productivity, product quality, and entity capacity, and is also an opportunity for consumers in the capital to identify, connect, and consume OCOP products, safe agricultural products and regional specialties.
Participating in this Product Introduction Week is a very meaningful event, actively supporting the promotion of agricultural product brands, safe food, and regional specialties to a large number of consumers in the capital; is an opportunity to connect and cooperate in consuming agricultural and forestry products of Vietnamese provinces and cities.
