VCCI Pledges Support for Heineken's Sustainable Development in Vietnam

With the continuous growth of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in Vietnam, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Heineken have strengthened their collaboration and discussions on issues related to sustainable development in this sector.


VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh at a working session with the delegation from Heineken, led by Ms. Erin Atan, the Regional Corporate Affairs Director of Heineken Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.

During a working session held on April 9, 2024, Ms. Erin Atan, Regional Corporate Affairs Director of HEINEKEN Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., raised specific concerns about the challenges that businesses are facing. Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, Vice President of VCCI, expressed VCCI's welcome and commitment to support Heineken in seeking appropriate solutions through dialogue with relevant authorities.

The discussion also touched on tax policies and sustainable development. Ms. Erin Atan praised the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in considering transitioning to specific tax regimes for the beverage industry. She shared Heineken's experiences in implementing sustainable development programs, encouraging the participation of other businesses.

VCCI Vice President Nguyen Quang Vinh welcomed Heineken's contributions to Vietnam's sustainable development and pledged that VCCI would continue to support Heineken through dialogue with relevant authorities and providing information on new policies.
