October import and export value reached US$1.025 billion (including US$315 million of exports and US$710 million of imports), up 4% from the previous month.
Quang Ninh Customs Department cumulatively processed 61,459 import and export declarations for US$13.102 million in the year to October 25, down 15% in declarations and up 28% in value year on year.
It collected VND1,244 billion for the State Budget in October 2022, up 60% year on year.
Quang Ninh Customs Department collected VND12,652 billion of tax in the year to October 26, up 60% over 2021, equal to 126% of the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance, 119% of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee and 96% of the target assigned by the General Department of Customs (VND13,200 billion).
Quang Ninh Customs will continue to execute solutions to reform administrative procedures, improve service quality, and extend working hours for handling procedures, and facilitate import and export operations to "retain" businesses during the slow season of the year.
Furthermore, to improve the effectiveness of State administration and prevent budgetary loss, Quang Ninh Customs will focus on collecting and analyzing information, identifying signs of risks to take measures of inspection, supervision and control; performing post-customs clearance inspection, specialized inspection and fighting smuggling and commercial fraud.
