By maximizing the efficiency of public investment capital, and completing the agricultural-rural infrastructure system, the Project Management Board for Agriculture and Rural Development in Ca Mau province has made significant contributions to the restructuring of the agricultural sector and local rural development.

The Project Management Board for Agriculture and Rural Development in Ca Mau province was established under Decision 1228/QD-UBND dated August 27, 2013 and Decision 993/QD-UBND dated June 17, 2019 by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the reorganization of the Project Management Board of Agriculture and Rural Development. The total number of officers and employees currently is 50. It is a public non-business self-financing unit.
The Project Management Board has always striven to fulfill the assigned tasks. In 2021, the total allocated public investment capital plan was VND411,627 million. The total disbursed value as of January 31, 2022 was VND375,596 million, reaching about 91% of the capital plan. The remaining capital will be transferred to 2022 for further implementation.

In 2022, the Board is assigned important projects such as the West Sea protection forest resettlement area (Tran Van Thoi district); Bo Ke project against landslides in a residential area of Nam Can town (Nam Can district); the embankment project in Luu Hoa Thanh hamlet, Tan Thuan commune, Dam Doi district; the road leading to Kenh Ly sluice bridge, the anti-erosion embankment on both sides of canal upstream and downstream of Kenh Ly culvert, Lung Ung Bridge, parking area for Tan Duyet dike route (Dam Doi district), the emergency embankment project granting remedial measures for coastal erosion from Dat Mui to Vam Vuy estuary and the project to build embankments to prevent coastal erosion from Kenh Nam O Ro to Kenh Nam, Ngoc Hien district.
Mr. Tran Thanh Ut, Director of the Project Management Board of Ca Mau Agriculture and Rural Development, said that in addition to certain difficulties, it received the close attention and direction of the authorities and the good coordination of related agencies. The staff and employees at the unit are united, well-qualified and experienced. In order to successfully complete the assigned tasks, right from the beginning of the year, the Board's leaders directed specialized departments to closely follow the programs and plans of the Provincial People's Committee to develop specific plans and effectively implement them. The Board's leaders regularly check and urge the tasks, drastically remove difficulties and have solutions to speed up progress according to the plan.
For projects that have capital allocation plans, the Board managed to complete relevant documents and procedures to deploy construction investment as soon as possible. The Board also stepped up the application of information technology, and increased the deployment of management software (iOffice) and electronic documents in all activities.
Sharing about the tasks in the coming time, Mr. Tran Thanh Ut mentioned a number of specific tasks and solutions such as strengthening inspection of the works under construction; resolutely terminating contracts for contractors who delay progress due to subjective errors; improving professional capacity and personal responsibility in construction quality supervision; managing payment records efficiently and making refunds in a timely manner.
The Board will work closely with localities to handle site clearance problems and make detailed implementation and disbursement plans each month for each project. In addition, the Board will attach importance to the reform of administrative procedures.
The Board will also speed up projects, improve quality management and complete the medium-term plan for the period of 2021-2025.
