The Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee recently launched the "Coffee and Tourism App" application while focusing on communicating and perfecting tourism infrastructure for domestic and international tourists attending the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023. Mr. Pham Tien Hung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee, tells us about how the festival has been prepared.
The 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 will be held in a modern fashion
Could you please tell us how the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 has been prepared?
Buon Ma Thuot City has followed directions of the Provincial People's Committee to carry out the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 with three main contents.
We have informed people and tourists so that they can understand the meaning and role of the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, which aims to honor and enhance the value of Buon Ma Thuot coffee as well as affirm the position of Buon Ma Thuot - the destination of world coffee. This is also an opportunity for Dak Lak province to introduce its tourism image, potential and strengths.
The Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee developed a plan and participated in four contents: Developing and organizing ethnic cultural festivals for people; developing the Coffee App program to introduce delicious cafes, scenic tourist attractions, safe accommodation facilities, aesthetics and good service attitude to people and visitors; building pilot pedestrian and bicycling streets in response to the festival; and campaigning coffee houses throughout the city to offer free coffee for at least one day.
Regarding the service, we are currently directing health authorities to review and inspect food service facilities to ensure food safety and hygiene; and guiding urban construction and damaged road repair for convenient mobility. We also develop plans to ensure security and order, fire prevention, and fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.
The above three major contents are being actively implemented by the city as scheduled by the Provincial People's Committee.
To widely introduce the “Coffee and Tourism App” to residents and visitors, what solutions has the city government taken?
After more than four months of implementation, Buon Ma Thuot City Coffee and Tourism application was completed and officially launched.
The application is providing users with 37 featured cafes, 33 hotels, 15 tourist attractions and a number of food service facilities.
The application helps users easily search and choose their favorite cafes, accommodations, tourist attractions and cuisine according to their style and type of service within a radius of 1km, 3km, 5km, 7km and 10km from the user's current location. Besides, the application supports navigation features, enabling users to quickly find desired places.
With accurate and detailed updated information, vivid images and clear instructions, the Coffee and Tourism application will help visitors and users easily choose the most suitable places for their trip when discovering and exploring the coffee capital of Buon Ma Thuot, especially during the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023.
To introduce the application to more people, we will continue to inform all citizens and visitors to understand and know how to install and use this application.
In the coming time, Buon Ma Thuot City will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review and update coffee houses, accommodation facilities and tourist attractions to add them to the application which will be made a true coffee and tourism information channel of Buon Ma Thuot City. This is expected to soon make Buon Ma Thuot City a destination of world coffee, and help raise the value and affirm the position of Vietnamese coffee in the international market.
