Post, telecom and internet infrastructure of Ca Mau province has been further developed in recent years to meet requirements of digital transformation and e-government construction and support innovation and development of local people and businesses.

The province has ensured stable post and telecom services with an increasing number of mobile phone and Internet subscribers, and many ADSL subscribers switching to higher speed FTTH fiber optic Internet. Post and telecom service providers have installed many 4G base transceiver stations and developed more 4G subscribers.
Telecommunications firms have completed changing network codes and have been ready to provide mobile number portability services for terrestrial mobile telecommunications networks. They have ensured secure, smooth communication and internet connectivity for all users and actively contributed to local socioeconomic development, national defense and security.
Post and press distribution networks reach all communes. The frequency of collection and delivery of postal parcels in each commune is at least once a business day. The postal safety rate is high. Particularly, Ca Mau Post is the only provider of press distribution services and its vehicles transport mail and parcels to districts twice a day and to communes once a day.
Currently, eight telecom firms and 14 post companies have their headquarters, branches, representative offices and business locations in Ca Mau province. As of July 2022, telecom firms had 1,583,745 telephone subscribers (including 9,328 landline telephone subscribers, 1,573,187 terrestrial mobile phone subscribers, 1,156 offshore mobile phone subscribers; and 74 satellite mobile phone subscribers), 1,054,019 internet subscribers (186,173 fixed broadband Internet subscribers and 867,846 mobile broadband Internet subscribers on 3G and 4G networks), and 87,340 pay TV service subscribers.
Total telecom service revenue was estimated at VND130 billion in the month, up 10.17% year on year. Postal companies made a total output of 989,256 postal parcels. Total postal service revenue was VND11,812 billion, up 35.85% from a year ago. This result made an important contribution to local socioeconomic development.
The dedicated wide area network (WAN) at the service of the Party and governmental agencies connects most agencies of district party committees and district people's committees and all communes, enabling secure and smooth connection for applications that require steady speed and high security. All government agencies from the provincial level to the commune level have document scanners and a high-speed LAN system. All computers are connected to the LAN system installed with centrally managed anti-malware software.
By architecture, foundation applications for digital transformation have been invested and developed. Ca Mau province's e-government architecture 2.0 defines transiting the current status of IT application of the Ca Mau government to the target status in 2025, with a vision to 2030, to meet the province's strategic goals and effectively accelerate digital transformation in all economic, social and government sectors.
The province has linked the local government service platforms (LGSP) to the national government service platforms (NGSP) such as the national business registration database, national legal document database, national insurance database, online criminal record granting system, civil status registration and management information system, budget-related code granting system, a shared electronic portfolio management information system of state agencies for e-government development, and Vietnam Post Corporation system.
Without a doubt, prioritized investment in telecom and IT infrastructure development and service responsibility improvement of local postal and telecommunications firms has positively supported local socioeconomic development requirements.
