Carrying out the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Department of Information and Communications advised the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee on guidelines, strategies and mechanisms to lay the regulatory environment and accelerate digital transformation, and achieved remarkable results.
To date, the infrastructure system for information technology application in State agencies has been built to meet basic demands for utilizing shared information systems for public administration and workflows of State agencies. Particularly, all agencies have internal networks, province-wide networks and high-speed internet connectivity. All public employees are provided with computers for work and all provincial and district agencies are equipped with a network-layer firewall to ensure network safety and information security.
Beside infrastructure investment, Thai Binh has effectively deployed shared applications such as interconnected electronic office network system, email system, websites, public services gateway and electronic single-window information gateway. This has helped raise performance, improve the modern working environment and working style of public employees; increase procedural productivity and quality, and raise public and business satisfaction.
In the coming time, the Department of Information and Communications will continue to make more efforts to lead digital transformation process in the province and resolve to effectively carry out all three pillars of digital transformation: Developing digital government, improving performance of all-tier government; developing digital economy and improving economic competitiveness; Developing digital society and narrowing digital divide to make Thai Binh a developed province in the Red River Delta region.
