The workshop attracts more than 60 corporate participants operating in a wide range of industries and sectors
Recently, NS BlueScope Vietnam in collaboration with Ba Ria – Vung Tau Industrial Zone Authority (BIZA) holds the workshop of “Safety Culture” centering on productivity enhancement and sustainability with a view to improving labor hygiene safety awareness for the sake of a non-occupational-incident workplace.
NS BlueScope Vietnam also introduces latest trends in safety management to workshop participants, including LEAN safety – a modern management approach to reduce waste, improving productivity and the trend of applying technology 4.0 in safety management through MARS system. Corporate leadership is highlighted by the workshop as a motivating drive to decide on the success of developing safety culture for enterprises.
“Community initiative is an integral part of our business here in Vietnam. Under such a strong commitment, we expect to share our practical experiences accumulated during decades of employing safety management in line with BlueScope Group’s Australian standards. In so doing, we hope to enable enterprises to improve labor hygiene safety awareness, inspiring them to develop safety culture, thereby enhancing productivity, saving cost with a vision towards a non-occupational incident workplace,” said Mr. Vo Minh Nhut, Country President, NS BlueScope Vietnam.
The specialized workshop will be followed by a series of meaningful initiatives by end of 2019, including field trips to NS BlueScope Vietnam’s plants; workshops focusing on sharing risk management knowledge for high- risk occupations such as those supposed to access energy sources, labor safety for tasks carried out at height and how to manage sub-contractors.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau is the second destination of the labor hygiene safety awareness improving and management sharing program initiated by NS Blue Scope Vietnam in 2017. The previous program in Dong Nai was successfully implemented and was well received by local enterprises.
