VietinBank Thanh Hoa: Sustainable Development

This year, despite challenges faced by the banking system, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the will and determination of each and every employee, the Thanh Hoa branch of Vietinbank successfully accomplished their targets for the year 2011.

 

As of December 31 2011, deposits in the Thanh Hoa branch total VND2,706 billion, up 43 percent; outstanding loan reaches VND3,200 billion, up 21 percent; sub-standard debt is below 2 percent; 17,425 E-Partner cards and 675 international credit cards are issued, 35 card-accepting locations and 2 ATMs are installed; profit reaches VND57.21 billion.

 

In 2012, with the determination of each and every employee and a sharp vision of the Board of Directors, profit margin in the first six months of 2012 is 10-12 percent. In addition, the Thanh Hoa branch of VietinBank always opens its door to businesses, helping them access the much-needed capital

 

Besides, the Thanh Hoa branch of VietinBank is among those who are active in social activities. During the Voluntary Campaign in the 2012 summer, the youth group of the Vietinbank Thanh Hoa awarded 10 gift packages and scholarship for children, 100 green trees and participated in the “Re-greening barren hills” program etc. This particular campaign by the youth group of the branch has a practical meaning to it, contributing to the social security, especially safeguarding the future of the youth, helping needy children in high and remote areas; positively contributing to the modernization of rural areas. Together with the youth group in the province, in the past years the youth in the Thanh Hoa branch of VietinBank always deeply care about their responsibilities towards protecting and caring for children; among some meaningful activities are: building “love houses”, awarding scholarship and gifts for needy children and children of family under preferential treatment policy etc. With this voluntary campaign, the youth at the Thanh Hoa branch of VietinBank has awarded ten gift packages and scholarships for needy children with the cash equivalent of VND500,000 per child; contributed 100 green trees and participated in the “Re-greening barren hills” program initiated by the Youth League of the province.

 

Under the judicious leadership and with the determination and unanimity of employees, the Thanh Hoa branch of Vietinbank will most likely continue to be even more successful in the last few months of 2012 and the following years in order to be worthy of its position as the backbone of the Vietnam’s economy.
