Mid-term CG Meeting for Vietnam to Take Place in Ha Tinh

The mid-term Meeting of the Consultative Group (CG) for Vietnam will be held in the central province of Ha Tinh on June 9, 2011.
 
The meeting will focus on the following topics: Re-establishing and maintaining macroeconomic stability: Updating implementation of Resolution 11 in monetary and financial sector, fiscal and budget transparency, public investment efficiency and small and medium-sized enterprises; Protecting the poor from macroeconomic instability: Appropriate policy responses to protect the poor and activities of small companies; Reporting back from the Anti-Corruption Dialogue; and Reporting back from the Aid Effectiveness Forum.
 
Ahead of the CG meeting, a separate Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) between the government and the business community will be held in Hanoi on May 27 by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank member, and the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment. The forum will focus on various topics, including banking and capital market, infrastructure and education.
