Lai Chau Proposes Founding Customs Department

 

Lai Chau is a border-sharing mountainous province which adjoins Yunnan Province (China). It has a natural area of 9,068 square kilometres and 265.095 kilometres of national border. To ensure the execution of State provisions on customs procedures, inspection and customs supervision of exports, imports and temporary imports for re-exports, human and vehicle transit at border crossings, and utilisation of local potential and advantages, the Provincial People’s Committee recently asked the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs for considering, arranging and completing the apparatus of Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Customs Branch.

 

There are two contents: The Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs study and consider sending the decision on the formation of Lai Chau Customs Department affiliated to the General Department of Vietnam Customs to the Prime Minister. The Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs are requested to consider and decide on the transfer of Ma Lu Thang Border Gate Customs Branch to the Lai Chau Provincial Customs Department.
