Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang has reaffirmed that the local authorities always support foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises while working to remove the difficulties facing their operations.

She made the statement during a meeting with FDI enterprises in the province on March 25.
The official praised that the FDI capital has made great contributions to the province’s overall achievements through facilitating economic growth, increasing State budget collection, and generating jobs for around 1 million workers.
The FDI enterprises have also actively participated in activities on ensuring social welfares and protecting the environment, she added.
In the coming time, she pledged that Dong Nai Province will continue to boost renovations to better serve businesses, with a focus on administrative reform.
At the meeting, leaders of Dong Nai Province answered FDI enterprises’ questions on the quality of infrastructure in industrial zones, customs procedures, and policies to support businesses in overcoming the difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
On the occasion, the provincial authorities presented certificates of merit to 14 FDI enterprises with excellent production and business achievements.
According to statistics of the provincial People’s Committee, despite the tremendous difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the province attracted 167 new FDI projects worth 1.27 billion USD.
To date, Dong Nai counted more than 1,500 valid FDI projects with total capital of over 32.4 billion USD. This year, the province aims to attract 1.1 billion USD in FDI capital.
