Dong Nai: More than US$726 Million of FDI Licensed in First Seven Months

The Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment reported that Dong Nai province attracted US$726.2 million worth of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 7 months of 2017, equal to 50.2 per cent of the value it achieved in the same period of 2016. Of the sum, US$252.4 million came from 45 new projects and US$473.8 million was from 59 existing projects.

A majority of investors in Dong Nai in the first months mainly came from South Korea, Japan, Singapore, British Virgin Islands and Germany. Big investors included Powerknit Vietnam Co., Ltd with US$60 million, Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd with US$55 million (British Virgin Islands); Long Thai Tu Yarn Co., Ltd (South Korea) with more than US$50 million, and Long Khanh Elite Co, Ltd (British Virgin Islands) with extra US$31.5 million.
